CASE SUMMARY FOR SEXUAL OFFENDER - Defendant: JEFFREY S SKYA | MALE | WHITE | D.O.B 11/08/1957
According to the Nassau County District Attorney Denis Dillon former New York City Corrections Officer, Jeffrey Skya of Bethpage, Long Island, NY has pled guilty to four (4) counts of Attempted Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the First Degree, a Class e Felony and one (1) count of Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the First Degree, a Class D Felony. Skya was arrested in August of 2003 as part of the ‘Operation Teensaver Program.’ On a number of occasions beginning July 8th of 2003, Skya engaged in sexually explicit on-line conversations with an Operation Teensaver investigator whom he believed to be a 14 year-old boy. Ultimately, he sought to arrange a physical meeting with the ‘boy’ and when he arrived for their meeting he was arrested by our investigator. In addition, as a result of our continuing investigation after Skya's arrest, we discovered Skya had sent a depiction of the male genitalia to a real teenage boy for that he was charged with Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor in the First Degree. This charge was the fifth count of the indictment, to which he pled guilty to in January 2005."
